Could you be our new Head of Global Pathogen Safety Scientific Liaison? This position is located in the King of Prussia PA, Holly Springs NC, Kankakee IL, Waltham MA, Marburg Germany or Bern Switzerland office. This is a Hybrid role. You will report to the Head of Global Pathogen Safety (GPS).

You will be the global GPS Scientific Liaison lead in charge of maintaining pathogen safety awareness within CSL and creating GPS external scientific advocacy strategy following GPS strategy and CSL goals. As a member of the GPS leadership team, you will be responsible to jointly deliver the GPS strategy. Seen as someone, both internally and externally, to guide changes in awareness, perception, guidance relating to pathogen safety based on current scientific knowledge. Maintain the awareness of emerging and regulatory developments relating to pathogen safety science. Build partnerships with important partners collaborate internally including ensuring understanding of partners to represent CSL overall strategy and externally (e.g., industry consortia, interest groups, main opinion leaders, regulators) to lead the GPS scientific advocacy strategy. Create communication strategies and tools for pathogen safety awareness within CSL, and mapping the external landscape of important partners and organizations (e.g., in collaboration with Regulatory) to engage with and creating a strategy to engage and influence following the GPS advocacy strategy.

Responsibilities:

Define scientific strategy for external visibility and influencing following GPS advocacy strategy with important team members, including a targeted publication and conference strategy (including authoring GPS publications), and the strategy for selection of involvement in or collaboration with main interest groups (e.g., BioPhorum, NIMBL, CAACB, ADVTIG, PDA etc.) in collaboration with GPS LT and SMEs

Create and roll out communication and training tools to ensure awareness and understanding of pathogen safety for different target groups within CSL

In collaboration with other CSL functions (e.g., GRA CMC, GRASP), improve external acceptance in the area of innovation and scientific knowledge for pathogen safety.

Qualifications:

Postgraduate degree (preferably PhD) or experience in relevant discipline scientific and people leadership

Minimum 5+ years' experience in biological pharmaceutical industry, relevant interest groups or regulatory environment

Track record in networking, influencing and partner management both internally and externally and a strategic mindset
