CSL Behring Sr. Analyst, R&D Financial Planning & Analysis in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager, R&D Finance – Financial Planning & Analysis, as the Sr. Analyst, R&D Financial Planning & Analysis , you will be a part of the R&D Finance CoE Financial Planning & Analysis group. You will develop and consolidate budgets and forecasts, provide master data governance, build reports, evaluate results, provide analysis and insights, and support data visualization initiatives for the unified R&D organisation across CSL Behring, CSL Seqirus and CSL Vifor. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid

The Role:

  • Provide centralized support for accurate, comprehensive, and timely information on behalf of R&D Finance regarding month end results, forecast, budget, and strategic plan submissions to Group Finance and other internal customers.

  • During the annual budget & forecast update processes, support R&D expense analyses by function, account, FTE, and major expenditure, and work with the R&D Finance Business Partners to identify and understand expense and variance drivers.

  • Central point of contact in providing global support and maintenance of the R&D financial planning system/s, including management of cost center hierarchies, active general ledger accounts, user security, general system issues, and ad hoc global user support needs.

  • Manage the roll up of the R&D organization, ensuring the accurate and timely consolidation of budgets and forecasts and delivery of planning presentations, including resolution of identified issues.

  • Support the R&D functional reporting of actual performance versus Budget/Forecast, as well as reporting in support of the various planning cycles.

  • Work closely with Global R&D Finance Business Partners to identify new and improved reports that support the Global R&D business to make better decisions and more effectively manage its performance, as well as to retire any reports that are no longer relevant.

  • Support continuous improvement of R&D processes as part of overall R&D Finance Improvement Initiatives.

  • Work with the relevant R&D business partners on ad hoc business analyses and data requests.

  • Participate in the FP&A Community of Practice across the CSL Group to provide support and insights, learn from colleagues and to maintain consistency of practice while delivering to internal customers’ requirements.

  • Provide back up and support to the R&D Finance Business Partner team to help manage the planning requirements in BPC.

  • Assist in providing R&D Finance Business Partners with decision support and analysis in the areas of budgeting, forecasting, strategic plan initiatives and user support.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field an advantage. Professional certification (CPA/CMA) desirable.

  • It is anticipated this role holder would have more than 3 years’ experience in Finance roles, working across a range of sub-disciplines which include FP&A; focusing on budget and forecast preparation and reporting with global responsibility.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate leadership, sound judgment, ability to influence, ability to execute globally integrated processes, strong analytical thinking, ability to lead, develop and motivate others, timely decision making and priority setting, organizational agility, work cross-functionally and across all levels.

  • The position also requires the ability to build and maintain sound relationships and collaborate effectively with multiple levels and cross functionally.
